Beautiful Moon is an original mixed media piece on paper 24x36 inches. Created during a time when three of his close friends lost their respective mothers, Jeanty felt compelled to do this piece in their memories and to illuminate our matrons for the light that they generate and for the scars acquired while carrying many burdens. This piece is dedicated to the elders, matriarchs, patriarchs and ancestors who devoted their lives for us to live today. This piece will is a visual record of culture, capturing our collective struggle, values, and historical narratives.
