Gye Nyame is an original mixed media piece on paper 24x36 inches. Jeanty’s art is heavily influenced by Ghanaian Adinkra symbols and the Gye Nyame symbol represents the supremacy of God. Meaning “Except for God”, the symbol celebrates the omnipotence of God and a call for us to rely on God for our needs. Adorned in the colors of the Ghanaian flag, the piece celebrates the rich culture of Ghana and is a reminder that we are blessed, loved, honored, and protected by Most High.
