BeautifulFreedom

BeautifulFreedom is an original mixed media piece on two 8.5x11 inch cardstock sheets taped together to create the 11x17 size. Created in 2023, and housed in an upcycled frame, the piece is a celebration of colors in honor of Jeanty’s Haitian heritage. The piece highlights the beauty of our blackness which is often ridiculed and dismissed as unattractive. The expressive piece also celebrates the richness of Black cultures, incorporating African Adinkra symbols, Haitian coat of arms symbols, geometric shapes, solid black lines and impressions of graffiti to create a vibrant exhibition.  Add this original piece to your room to promote a sense of pride and authenticity.
