Power to the People - Prints

 
Power to the People is an original mixed media piece on paper, created in 2022. Hand drawn in pencil, graphite, acrylic paint, permanent marker, paint marker and then embellished digitally, the piece is a symbol of Black Power, Black Freedom, and the continued struggle for equality. The background colors are a combination of the Pan African and Ethiopian Flags. Red for the blood of our people spilled in the fight for freedom, Black for the beauty of our skin, Green for the pastures that await us and Yellow for hope of a brighter future. This bold and resonant piece will enhance any space as it honors resistance, resilience, and the vision of freedom.
