City Blues -- Prints

City Blues is an original mixed media collage piece 8.5x11 inches on heavy duty cardstock paper created in 2023. The piece is inspired by Jeanty’s upbringing in Brooklyn, NY and the urban landscape of tall buildings tightly knitted to form vibrant communities. Growing up in a fourth-floor apartment, the views from Jeanty’s childhood windows made a major impact on his sense of community, culture and behavior of the people which later influenced his artwork.  The colors, composition, and subject matter of this piece will evoke joyful emotions and energize the atmosphere.
