City Nights -- Prints

City Night is an original mixed media piece 11x17 inches on heavy duty cardstock paper created in 2023. The piece is inspired by Jeanty’s upbringing in Brooklyn, NY and the urban landscape of tall buildings tightly knitted to form vibrant communities. Growing up in a fourth-floor apartment, the views from Jeanty’s childhood windows made a major impact on his sense of community, culture and needs of the people. As a teenager, Jeanty worked as an usher in multiple movie theaters in the Times Square and mid-town Manhattan areas which heavily impacted his urban worldview and influenced his art later in life.
